Poll #1 - Best Films of 2015
« on: February 05, 2018, 11:45:06 pm »
I'm having us start out with 8 films due to the smaller number of films than the usual (unless enough users appeal for nine to ten votes). Most of us should know the drill by now.

Dang. Just realized that Beasts of No Nation was snubbed from the list. Too late now if we're trying to have integrity (unless Kale wants to nominate Steve Jobs so I can switch my last nomination).

Anyway, voted for The Revenant, Fury Road, Son of Saul, Steve Jobs, Room, The Big Short, Inside Out, and Spotlight.

Wow, totally forgot about The Big Short, glad someone else nominated that one. 2015 was a really good year for film.

My picks: Steve Jobs, Hateful Eight, Straight Outta Compton, Spotlight, Inside Out, Ex Machina, Big Short, and Kingsman.

I picked The Big Short, The Hateful Eight, Brooklyn, and Inside Out. Not enthusiastic enough about the rest of these to vote for them. I'm really shocked that no one chose It Follows, Dope, or Love & Mercy.

Yeah, 2015 was a fine year for film so it hurt to ignore some of the latter picks in my top ten like Love & Mercy, 99 Homes, and Beasts of No Nation.

The votes are heavily diffused without any clear winners so far so it'll be interesting to see how this poll pans out.

I'm very thankful in this 2018, the year of our Lord, that Diego no longer makes divisive, derogatory, or inflammatory statements regarding other people's opinions :)
