Locking the poll unless anyone objects.

The 2015 winners are: Inside Out, The Hateful Eight, and The Revenant in that order.
I feel like we should have a final poll with just those three that has people rank them to determine which film places first, second, and third.
I suppose we could. Depends on how popular the idea is with everyone else.

Edit: Then again, the votes are all in descending order for the picks so I think it's already indicated the order the films are preferred in.

I think the votes are in and we move on. There was no tie. We don't really need another series of votes at this point imo.
The thing for me is that choosing 3 out of 10 provides no way for someone to indicate what their actual favorite movie of the year was. Idk, it might just be me but I like having a final round of voting that feels definite.

no. inside out wins. everything else loses. inside out = official best film of 2015. shut your **** mouth.

I mean isn't that how we've kind of always done it, barring a tie in which case we'd have a tiebreaker? idk - seems like overkill to me if we get a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd through the voting.

Funny, I use the exact same metric but with Alien.
I actually do have some problems with the pacing of Alien that hold it back from being a masterpiece in my eyes, but I would never go so far as to call it "boring".  At least not as a whole.

Honestly, after talking about it, I'm actually really interested in doing this to see whether the results change. You're right though, we have always done it like this in the past, I just found it a bit anticlimactic and perhaps unrepresentative of what people think.

Guessing you were pulling pretty hard for something other than Inside Out?

Not really, I gave Inside Out a 9/10 and it's a great film (although I would've put Hateful Eight first). I legitimately was just interested in another round, although I think Inside Out would've won regardless in this instance.

I'm thinking my next parody script should be "The Hate-Fellate," about Jed and seven other guys getting trapped in a Dunkin Donuts during a storm.
