Dissociative amnesia

I can't be expected to keep up with all of these things.

This about sums up Dommy (he's not here yet Diego, so I'm allowed)...

He's gone radio silent these past few days. But we need him now more than ever.

Currently halfway through The Fountainhead. I gotta say... it's good stuff. I have difficulty believing Trump actually read this thing from cover to cover, though, given his functional illiteracy.

Halfway through Pet Sematary.

Some heavy stuff. It's definitely ramping up and I have no idea where this sick twisted story is gonna lead but I'm ready. At least I think I am.

Scariest book I ever read.  Shame they made the movie so less intense...

Okay. The Fountainhead is one of the best novels I've ever read. I might write a full review for this thing. There's a lot to dissect here.

Never read it.  Saw the movie years ago and remember it being pretty good though.

Just read Animal Farm. Can't believe I was never assigned this in high school, but it was great. Wasn't there a meme of sorts on here that Jed didn't understand it? How did that arise?

Fantastic book.  Read it in high school.

The conclusion of Boxer's arc is one of the saddest things I've ever read. Orwell never shies away from even the cruelest irony. I'm thinking I should revisit 1984 now, because I remember enjoying it a few years ago but I can't remember most of the details of it.

Picked up Consider the Lobster and Other Essays by David Foster Wallace the other day. I'm a big fan of This is Water and A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again so I'm looking forward to reading it.

Orwell has NO Disney bullshit in him.

I'm currently 2/3rds of the way through Atlas Shrugged. Honestly, I've never read anything quite like this before.

The protagonist, the author, or both?

I was referring to my good friend Mrs. Rand. I liked The Fountainhead, but I think the scope of this one is to its disadvantage. I'm in the middle of the conclusion right now, which is a 60-page speech. Still, I think a lot of the descriptions of societal collapse are vivid and arguably prescient.

The conclusion to Anthem felt manifesto-y to me. I donít know if thatís just her style though.

After your earlier declaration of love for The Fountainhead, I was about 50-50 on whether or not this would prove too much. For someone who hasn't read, can you elaborate on the "arguably prescient"?
