Some friends of mine had the gall to call Birdemic ďboringĒ today. They have no respect for true so-bad-itís-good cinema.

Steve Spielberg is open to the idea of making Indiana Jones a woman because Harrison Ford is too old, and doesnít know that surnames are unisex.

Or, instead of that, he could make a brand new female adventure character that isn't part of the Indiana Jones lore...leave Harrison Ford as the one and only Indiana Jones, and start a completely new franchise without further bastardizing this one.

I suppose the alternatives are either to turn this into a Bond style series or make Indy 5 a soft reboot where the future protagonist would revive the torch from Ford (which gives them an excuse to retcon Crystal Skull). That said, I do agree that making an original  property would be more empowering.

And it would make me more likely to see it.  Rebooting Indy with a female star is really lame imo.  Why not reboot Alien with a male Ripley?  Or make Morpheous white in a Matrix remake?  I'm just sick of this crap.  i'm against remaking classic films as it is, but when they shoehorn different gender or race into the title character in the name of SJW-agenda makes me not only have zero desire to see that particular film, but to actively root against its success so that maybe the madness will stop.

How about a female action-adventure character (like Lara Croft but better) who goes on archaeological missions and encounters bad guys and beats the hell out of them and so forth that has NOTHING to do with Indiana Jones at all?  That is something I would be interested in.  Even if they made Indy have a daughter who took the reins after he "retires", I'd be alright with that in a sequel sort of fashion.  But if it's a straight up remake with a female Indiana Jones with no ties to the original Indy universe, I'll go Feigbusters all over it.

RIP Isao Takahata, co-founder of Studio Ghibli and director of Grace of the Fireflies and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya

Sad day.  RIP Asian dude who helped put out great movies.

Studio Ghibli is a great studio. A studio that values artistic values or monetary value. They made some great films.

Dude that's hilarious man.

Felt very scripted.

I mean it's not, gotta watch the episode for context. The show isn't scripted. You can also tell by Nathan's genuine reaction. He was so confounded by what the dude was telling him he almost broke character several times. And he never does that.

Idk man - it felt scripted to me.  Or it's the most ironic thing in the world that Nathan randomly brings up drinking piss with the owner having drank kid's piss.  Of course I haven't watched the episode, but all these shows have some scripting going on so I would think it is likely that scene falls into that category...

He doesn't randomly bring it up. He's talking about one of the other people featured in the episode that drank his own **** in the wilderness trying to show the owner how strong these customers of his were as people. Like I said, it's all about the context.
