Proper Star Trek Reboot Fancast:
Director: Duncan Jones
Producer(s): Duncan Jones, Alex Garland
Writer(s): Duncan Jones, Alex Garland

Cast:
James T. Kirk: Jon Hamm
Spock: Ralph Fiennes
Leonard "Bones" McCoy: Karl Urban (can't change this one guys, it's perfect)
Montgomery "Scotty" Scott: Aiden Gillan
Hikaru Sulu: Steven Yeun
Pavel Chekov: Anton Yelchin (this one was also perfect. RIP Anton)
Nyota Uhura: Lupita Nyong'o
Yeek. I can't see Feinnes as Spock at all. Then again, I don't think I can see anyone but Nimoy as Spock. You need that baritone voice with the subtle Atlantic accent.

Agree on Nyong'o, though. And the casting of Simon Pegg as Scotty ranks as an all-time worst. Though given the impending Chris Pratt/Indiana Jones movie, I guess they're fine with taking intelligent characters from storied franchises and turning them into comic relief caricatures.
Wait, didn't Spielberg or somebody official confirm Indy 5 will have Harrison Ford returning as Jones?

It lists Harrison Ford down in the cast.
Goodbye!

Well... I can't say I'm disappointed. I just hope ol' Harrison doesn't break a hip or anything.

Hey guys, I have a great remake idea!

Star Wars: 2016

Director: Zack Snyder
Writers: Alex Kurtzman & Robert Orci

Chris Hemsworth: Luke Skywalker
Emilia Clarke: Princess Leia
Chris Pratt: Han Solo
Benedict Cumberbatch: Darth Vader
Johnny Depp: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Will Smith: Lando Calrissian

In this film, the gang has to find the wacky plot-maguffin device, a thing capable of destroying entire whatevers. Also, they have to get Darth Vader's blood for some reason. Explosions and playful banter ensue!

No writing contributions from Goyer? Also, I assume Cumberbatch does the voice and wears the suit?

As a big fan of Eminem, I am going to say that may be the worst idea I've ever heard of in my life.

Are you or Danny gonna defend Stein over on the other thread?  She's getting trashed there.  Or are you two just gonna not post there again?

Also, Neill Blomkamp actually wanted him for the lead in Elysium, which would've allowed him to showcase his physical chops as an actor, and I think he could've pulled it off pretty well if he were cast.
