Title: Best horror film of 2015?
Post by: David Tanny on January 17, 2016, 02:36:51 pm
I'd have to go with either What We Do in the Shadows or We Are Still Here. Honorable mentions go to Yakuza Apocalypse, It Follows, Krampus, and Knock Knock.

What are your favorites?

Only two I've seen from 2015 are It Follows and Krampus, and they're ranked in that order in terms of horror.

Shit. I almost forgot about Krampus. Without my rankings list, or a Blu-ray copy, I sorta forget about what I watch in a year. But yeah, Krampus was great.

Don't think I saw one.

Didn't see Krampus, have to get around to it.  But for me it goes:
1:  Southbound
2:  Unfriended
3:  Goodnight Mommy

All are in my top 5 of the year.

I really wanted to see Goodnight Mommy...

Crimson Peak
Good pick. I personally think it should have gotten an Oscar nod for production design.

Of the four horror films I saw, I thought Knock Knock was by far the best.

Didn't see many that I had wanted to.

It Follows is the best from what I have seen.

Not really a horror film as much as it is a thriller.

I still need to see It Follows, but right now I'll say Unfriended.

Bone Tomahawk

I also need to see the Final Girls before I can come to the conclusion, but I doubt anything will top Bone Tomahawk.

It's close. Between Bone Tomahawk and It Follows for me. Krampus was a lot of fun too. The horror genre is going through a nice little revival.
