I doubt it. But I'll still see it, if only for Affleck.

It's certainly ambitious, but I think it will be hurt by excessive length, underdeveloped characters due to a crowded canvas (Like TASM2), and some mild headache inducing action.

I cannot suspend my disbelief over any scenario wherein Superman has to take more than 3 seconds to deal with Batman. So what are they gonna do with the remaining two hours and 45 minutes?

That being said, the original Frank Miller Dark Knight series was pretty awesome, and this is coming from someone who likes neither comic books nor superheroes. Why couldn't someone just film that? It's practically a movie storyboard!

I'm not a big comic book fan either - and I agree that in no universe could Batman beat Superman mano-e-mano.  Unless Batman was holding a chunk of kryptonite.  There is just no way.  Batman is just a regular human with a bunch of gadgets.

Yes it will be. With Chris Terrio writing and replacing David S. Goyer, Man of Steel's biggest problem is solved. Also, tell me, how the **** is this movie crowded, when Cyborg will show up in a cameo, or a post credits scene (a minute tops), Aquaman's role is very minor, and it's as big as X-Men: Days of Future Past, which had a lot of characters but was handled greatly.

The biggest problem was certainly Snyder. The story maybe had the potential to be half-way decent, but it was a ridiculous explosion fest, no thanks to Hack Snyder.

He must have gone to the Michael Bay school of filmmaking...

Are you **** kidding me? With the exception of the third act, 2/3 of the movie was character development, and a NON explosion fest. Maybe an action scene or two here and there so we don't fall asleep, but what's with this comparison of Zack Snyder to Michael Bay? Snyder is a much more superior filmmaker! Just check out Watchmen.

Based on what I've seen of the guy, Snyder's strong suit is giving strong visuals alongside something already competently written, hence why 300 and Watchmen worked.  However, David Goyer's skills are...questionable, hence Man of Steel's shortcomings.
