Going with Moonlight.

Edit: So I finish with 16/25 correct, with 10/14 movie awards correct.

First award and already a shocker, wow.
Which award was this, for reference?
KinoPoisk Taylor-Johnson winning for best supporting actor in Nocturnal Animals. I can't even remember him being nominated anywhere else, and I remember people being surprised at his nomination (especially considering that Michael Shannon had been getting supporting actor noms for the film).
Ah. That does seem out of the left field, since Mahershala Ali and Jeff Bridges were the only people with considerable momentum.

Yeah, I was kind of under the impression that Ali had been winning basically everything but that could be wrong. ATJ just seemed really random since I can't even recall seeing him nominated anywhere else.

It was a good performance.  But not outstanding.

Who would you say gave the best performance in Nocturnal Animals?

Jake Gyllenhaal only because his character was given probably the most meat.  Amy Adams was a close second, but not nearly as good as her Arrival performance.  Michael Shannon was okay, I guess.  Don't really get the hype for the guy.  ATJ was good.  And Isla Fisher was fucking awful (but she has little screentime).  I still think the overall product was strong enough to make Fisher's fucking awful screen presence mute and the way the plot unfolds makes it very satisfying.

John's comment on this chain made me chuckle.
Didn't watch the actual awards, but I'm usually a fan of Jimmy Fallon.

I'm happy for La La Land and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Both got well-deserved awards.
