There are several champions of these subjects that I'm rather fond of. Sam Harris, a proponent of maximizing well-being, makes compelling arguments that morality entirely falls into the domain of science, and while I partially disagree, I do agree that as we know more about neuroscience and psychology, more about the mechanisms of morality will become less metaphysical and more scientific, thus expanding the glove you think should fit perfectly. Once again, humanity will have to reshape its mind to fit the evidence.

Treet has abandoned this thread after leaving this insane comment. However, I'd like to hear some more people weigh in on this. Kale, if you want to jump in here, I'd welcome it. Same goes for Neville.
Not gonna read through these walls of text at the moment but, for the record, I try to maintain a logical, utilitarian outlook on things in life. My personal favorite example is a car ride (since this situation happens to me all the time at school): let's say that there are four people in a car, three are going one place and one person wants to get dropped off somewhere else (in the other direction). The walk would take ten minutes, but driving only takes two. Driving that person saves them eight minutes, but essentially blows 12 minutes of time for the other three people, so I argue against this type of thing all the time in my life. Hopefully I explained that adequately.
