Author Topic: Avengers: Infinity War Discussion + Death Pool (Read 96 times)

Because despite how often most of us (myself included) continue to complain about MCU and Disney fatigue we’ll all probably end up seeing this. In the meantime we should start our death pools for the film (partially because I want to try prank spoiling my friends).

Well, I've rewatched 7 of the 18, and I plan on having all 18 rewatched before I see Infinity War. So as up and down I am with regards to my liking of these films, I'll certainly be seeing it.

After my Avengers rewatch and subsequent realization that it was one of MCU's worst films, and knowing that I'm not a big Age of Ultron fan, I am concerned that I just might not enjoy the super-hero compilation films as much as I do the single hero introspectives.

That’s more dedication than I have. I will end up seeing this to placate the disparate factions of my friend group.

I’d have to rewatch the those two films. I really liked Avengers 1 but haven’t seen it in six years (whoa...) and Avengers 2 didn’t hold up as well upon reflection, so I’m not sure how that’d go.

Well, I've only seen about 1/2 of these films 1 time - so I forgot a lot about them. I thought Avengers was okay the first time I saw it when it came out, but on rewatch it was pretty shitty overall. I'd participate in a death pool after I get through rewatching all of them, but I'd like to get through them all first to be able to better predict an outcome.

Dead: Vision (obviously), Tony, Thor (Either Feige or the Russos said he was supposed to have a big arc so this is the obvious endgame), Loki, Nebula/Gamora, and probably Heimdall (Apparently Idris Elba is still in this franchise?)

Vulnerable: Cap (I think they’ll save him for the next one), Falcon/Bucky (one will survive and become the new Captain America), Scarlet Witch

The rest seem likely to survive. T’Challa and Spider-Man have the most plot armor.

My first thought is that Cap dies. Chris Evans made a point of saying he's in the next one, but beyond that he sounded much less certain. However, just because he's in it doesn't mean he's alive. He might be in it solely in flashback scenes. That would be my guess right now, but I'll make an official guess once I've finished all these rewatches.
