The fact that no one even knows if one of our heroes is capable of losing life or limb just goes to show how little suspense these films have.

Weíre talking about Thanos the villain. And yeah this is one of the few Marvel movies where the stakes feel real.

The overdid the deaths too - the more I think about it - it almost reverses the "real" effect because we know at least half of them aren't permanent, therefore they pretty much all are likely to come back if they want.  They should have been more choosy or at least sneaky about how many and who.

Dude most of us thought the OGs were dying here and they flipped that expectation around here. The fact that all of them are alive and the new ones are dead switched it up. Sure theyíre coming back but thatís not the point, the point is that they lost and the OGs have to come together one last time to try and circumvent it.

You also keep bringing up Thanos not being immortal as if it means anything. Thatís not even what Iím arguing, Iím just saying that heís physically stronger than anyone there and matches the Hulk in terms of strength. Theyíre even the same size and everything. Iím just saying that sawing off his arm would be harder than what you think itíll be.

Not when he's in a coma.  That's the part you seem to keep ignoring.  Strange could have portaled his arm off.  Iron Man's laser that can cut through a city would slice his arm off.  He had NO defenses.  He is flesh and blood - he's not made of vibranium - he didn't have impenetrable armor on it.  It's just an arm - and it wouldn't have taken any effort from the people involved with the abilities and/or weapons they had to slice it right off.
