« on: February 25, 2018, 07:49:09 pm »
Written for the screen and directed by Andrew Haigh, based upon the novel of the same name by Willy Vlautin, Lean on Pete stars Charlie Plummer, Chloë Sevigny, Travis Fimmel, and Steve Buscemi. A homeless teen in Oregon whose best friend is a failing racehorse sets off on a difficult journey to find his only known relative, who once lived 1,000 miles away in Wyoming.

You’d think a movie called “Lean on Pete” would actually have its horse be of more significance to the plot. I respect that it doesn’t opt for the sappy “boy and his horse” route but at the same time
Spoiler (hover to show)
doesn’t seem like the best trade off.

My goodness was the marketing misleading.
