I saw it.  It's hilarious.  I love how it says "Share the Joy" and "Feel the Love" in between shots of people being killed.
Goodbye!

David Ehrlich (who wrote the review for Assassin's Creed) is actually a really good critic.  I doubt he'd sanitize his opinions to deal with fanboys.  I think he just genuinely enjoyed the film.

It seems like he's a Letterboxd patron as well. He also liked this movie more than both Passengers AND Live by Night. Caleb is going to LOVE his review of the latter:

every movie ben affleck directs is a little bit worse than the last one, which i guess means he's *right on schedule* for his next gig to be a batman movie in the DC cinematic universe.

but even ARGO, for all its problems, was passable entertainment. this is an embarrassment. like someone watched MILLER'S CROSSING and thought "what would happen if we pulled that movie apart at the seams and made it 240% dumber?"

LIVE BY NIGHT is what would happen

Yeah I follow him on Letterboxd too.  He's brutally honest and hilarious in his reviews.
Goodbye!

This movie was good, but I'm confused as to how it fits into the National Treasure/Da Vinci Code cinematic universe.

Yeah. A friend of mine owed me money so he said he'd pay me back with a movie ticket and popcorn.

4/10 film. Had a lot of solid belly laughs.

He gave it his all, to his credit. Sadly, most of his performance consisted either of screaming or parkour. And the action scenes were horribly done. It's like they had no budget for CGI, so they put a lot of weird lighting, smoke, and fog in the audience's face so we couldn't tell what was happening.
