Challenge: Predict what score I will give this film when I see it.
Whatever the percentage is closest to on the Tomatometer.

Apocalypse has a 48% on RT and I gave that a 9/10.  Popstar has a 76% and I gave that a 10/10.  Neighbors 2 has a 61% and I gave that a 7.5/10.  Zoolander 2 has a 24% and I gave that a 5/10.  Just a few examples off the top of my head.

Yes, often times my opinion aligns with the Tomatometer, but I assure you, my opinions are 100% honest.

And even then, it was just a lighthearted tease.
Goodbye!

IMAX poster.

Jesus. Lol. Who exactly are they trying to appeal to with this marketing campaign? Tweens with ADHD who are too old for Pokemon? It's like every time they make a poster, someone says "That's good, but what I think it really needs is more colors."

It really is weird, isn't it? I guess all those complaints about The-Film-That-Must-Not-Be-Named's grey color palette got to DC's head, and they tried to go way too far in the other direction. Looking at that poster kinda makes you want to gag.

Of course, that's nothing compared to how I assume the actual movie will make us feel, so maybe this marketing campaign is pretty well-constructed after all.

Individual Character Posters

This just gets worse and worse. Those look like first take photos and they just decided to roll with it. They are like "Well, our ad campaign has been very bad and unprofessional. Might as well keep it up!" I can not fathom this movie being good any more if this is how they choose to advertise it. Looks like they have minimal respect for their own movie.

Jesus, we have Independence Day and Swiss Army Man right at the door, and we're discussing a film that is gonna come out in August? I know that Danny is going to get roasted, and frankly annihilated, when the film comes out, but can we, at least, focus on those films?

It's August here in Georgia.

Well, anyone who's seen a Roland Emmerich film knows what the new Independence Day is going to be like, so what's there to debate? Swiss Army Man is certainly worth discussion, but unfortunately most people here won't be able to see it immediately. Suicide Squad is just morbidly fascinating at this point. I'm truly at a loss for what this film is trying to be.
