Directed by Justin Chadwick from a screenplay by Deborah Moggach and Tom Stoppard, Tulip Fever stars Alicia Vikander, Dane DeHaan, Zach Galifianakis, Judi Dench, Christoph Waltz, Jack O'Connell, Holliday Grainger, Matthew Morrison, cArA dELevINgnE, Tom Hollander, Cressida Bonas, Kevin McKidd, and David Harewood. Based on Moggach's novel of the same name, the romantic historical drama is set in the Netherlands in the 17th century, during the period of the tulip mania. The two invest in the risky tulip market in hopes to build a future together.

This is getting absolutely savaged. I guess that's what happens when you cast Dane DeHaan as your romantic lead.

That, and it looks like a discount Lady Macbeth if it replaced its darkly comic misanthropy with a Denmark setting.

My mom said virtually the exact same thing when she saw the trailer for this. It seems aggressively conventional.
