I'll be surprised if this maintains such a high score. Still, it's telling that the one movie out of the DCCU that can actually garner acclaim is the one with the least amount of "Daddy Zack" involvement.
Well... actually, Zack wrote the story, and was a producer. He also had a hand in the screenplay. He had less involvement in Suicide Squad than this lmao.

And it's Zaddy.

Really? He's not credited for anything for it on RT, even as a producer. Although I admit I did briefly forget that Suicide Squad exists.

Judging from the trailer credits. I also remember reading a report from some trades.

And it's at 96% now.

What if all the DCEU fans hate this film?  Looks a lot like a Marvel movie to me.

Nah. If anything, they'll praise the critics for "getting it right" and cite the movie's RT score as an indicator of its quality... conveniently forgetting that they demanded the website be taken down a mere ten months ago.

ah well...

This was a minor loss.  Nothing interesting happens if this movie gets good reviews, but remember, Diego and friends, Justice League comes out in Fall.  Be prepared.  It's gonna be a nuclear winter once it's all said and done.

RT hasn't had the best track record where accurate movie credits are concerned.  Both Wikipedia and IMDb credit Snyder for (some of) the story and as a producer.

I'm surprised you're so skeptical about it now.  Everyone here was so worried about it when the news came up a few months ago and considered it damning.

As I said before, if any of these movies were going to succeed, it was going to be this one. The "first female superhero movie" gimmick definitely didn't hurt, plus DC seemed to be trying to broaden its appeal from what I saw in the trailers. Cinematography looks more competent than in the other films, too (though that's not saying much).

But yeah, if Justice League gets good reviews, that'll send me into cardiac arrest. That movie looks so fucking terrible.

Oh definitely.  It is the most competently made film from the looks of it.  It looks like a store brand Marvel film, but Marvel's films are competently made, if boring.

But I'm 100% certain Justice League will not get good reviews.  At best, a few pity reviews to try and make zack feel better but nothing else.
goodbye!

Is it sad that DC movies are essentially keeping this board alive?

Well then. Whether or not the actual movie will live up to these reviews is another story, but to say that this acclaim was unexpected is a bit of an understatement. I suppose I'll give it a shot in theaters  if I have friends who are in the mood to check it out.
