Watching the final now. Portugal vs. France. Rooting for Portuguese, though both teams play well. Oh, and Ronaldo just got injured. It might well be up to Portuguese goalkeeper now, who is, to be fair, excellent.

Edit: That's it, Ronaldo is off the field.

I don't care for Ronaldo much, but I felt bad seeing him come off so early. I, too, am rooting for the Portuguese however (although it's not looking too good now).

First half is gone and no-one scored yet. I'm still hoping Portuguese can repeat their performance against tr Welsh, when they got two goals in within three minutes.

In a perfect world, It would have been Germany v. Wales with Bale scoring a game winning goal.

But this is not that world.

And so, Portugal won, completely without their star player input, in the resounding victory for defensive soccer. The last time this happened was during their loss to Greeks in 2004, in what was the earliest match I still remember, watched on an analogue TV with an ancient signal amplifier dragged out for that occasion. 12 years onwards, technology has marched on while the teams' roles had been partially reversed. All in all, a fine outcome.

I saw the last twenty five minutes plus the overtime segments. That was a fine game.

I'm still amazed that Portugal won without Ronaldo...

I'm more invested in this Borussia Dortmund game than the Saints.  Also, Man City took the biggest L of the year.
goodbye!
