28-27, eat my díck Tennessee! It's great to be a Florida Gator!

Meanwhile, I nearly had a heart attack and basically can't talk from screaming. I may upload the video I took. Freakin crazy game.

SEC = overrated...
Nah :)

oh yeah - you guys schedule garbage out of conference games against LA-Monroe and Troy and other horrible opponents so you are all 4-0 and ranked when you start conference play, so when one soft 4-0 team beats the other soft 4-0 team, you bang your chests saying "see look how tough our opponent is".  It's been going on for years and the majority of football fans outside of the redneck south have figured it out.  ESPN being in bed with the SEC only exasperates the problem...
Lol I don't care nearly enough about NCAA to be bothered by anything like that. I've just grown up with SEC games, so that's naturally what I'm most interested in. And I just want to see my team win ^_^

fair enough - so you're not a delusional, autistic, redneck SEC honk...
I mean, it is the best conference by far...

Ole Miss whips Alabama then gets whipped by Memphis...Memphis...of the American Athletic Conference...S-E-C, S-E-C, S...oh wait - they kinda suck actually!

Ole Miss was overrated because they happened to flukishly beat Alabama, it's true. And it's true that the SEC hasn't been as strong this year as in the past, but if you look at their record in bowl games since the BCS' inception it becomes pretty clear how good the conference has been. I mean, they won the BCS championship 7 years in a row and a lot of those games weren't even very close...

The BCS was a total farce and rigged in the SEC favor.  I could go into a LONG diatribe about it, but I'd rather not.  Fact is that the SEC isn't any better than any other conference in the league - and they never really were.  They schedule garbage OOC opponents to boost all of their records to 3-0 before they even start conference play, thereby raising their rankings which aren't at all reflective of how good they are.  You say Ole Miss FLUKISHLY beat Alabama?  Really?  They were up by 20 points.  Twice.  In the second half.  The only thing flukish about that game was that it got close in the end.  In reality, Ole Miss beat the everliving shit out of an extremely overrated Alabama team - who just almost lost to another garbage team in Tennessee - again, AT HOME.

The two best teams right now are Clemson and Baylor.  If Baylor's QB is out, then who knows - but those two are leaps and bounds above everyone else.

It's true that the SEC isn't as strong this year, and I'd definitely say that Baylor should be number one right now. But still, I don't know how you can deny the SEC's record in bowl games over the last decade or so. If the conference really was so overrated for so long, they would have lost those championship games, but instead they won like 7 in a row. I don't have any stats for this because I don't want to search around, but I also remember hearing that the SEC's record in general bowl games (not just the championship) has been very strong until it started to fall recently. Because yeah, at this point the SEC has fallen off quite a bit. They still might be the best (PAC 12 has a shot at that too) but they're definitely not the dominant conference they were for most of my college football watching life. Also, as a side note I should say that I tend to not watch much college football (I stick to the NFL) until later in the season when soccer ends and my Saturdays become free, so I haven't actually watched many games this year.

Also, I did read the article, but I think the SEC's record in bowl games just shows that, while the teams do schedule a bunch of cupcake games, it's still been the dominant conference over the last decade.

Look at the SEC's record vs other major conferences and in bowl games vs other major conferences - it's not all that impressive...you have been fed a bill of goods from the media that doesn't stack up when the conference doesn't play the likes of Troy, McNeese St, or Louisiana Tech.

This article is from when the SEC was winning all those BcS "championships".  It shows that the SEC during that time was not really any better than the other conferences.

SEC, SEC, SEC...

1)  #10 Florida escapes AT HOME with a late FG to beat a 3-6 Vanderbilt team that lost to Western Kentucky and got beaten by Houston 34-0 a week ago.

2)  #18 Ole Miss lost AT HOME to a 5-4 Arkansas team that lost at home to Toledo.

3)  #19 Texas A&M lost AT HOME to a 5-4 Auburn team whose needed overtime to beat I-AA Jacksonville State at home.

So, 3 of the 6 ranked SEC teams lost today to shitty opponents and the top SEC East team barely beat a doormat...yet, watch the media continue to pump up the strength of the conference.  Such a mind-fuck!

Lol, you realize that these losses were to other SEC teams, so that really proves nothing and goes against your point if anything. Although Ole Miss is pretty bad and definitely shouldn't be ranked.

That's the rub.  If the #18 ranked team is in the Pac-12 and loses to a mediocre 5-4 Pac-12 team, the media will say "see, the Pac-12 doesn't have any good teams."  But if the #18 ranked team is in the SEC and loses to a mediocre SEC 5-4 SEC team, the media will say "see, look how strong the SEC is top to bottom".

That is EXACTLY THE POINT.

Oh, and that Ole Miss team that is "pretty bad and definitely shouldn't be ranked", yeah they whipped the presumed "best team" in the SEC...IN ALABAMA

That was P.I. on Alabama.  The DB karate-chopped the WRs arm right before the ball got there.  That is P.I.  These announcers and refs are so friggin' biased...
