Best Horror Film of the 1970's?
« on: September 14, 2015, 01:13:31 am »
Since Halloween is coming very soon, I decided to make a poll on what many consider to be the golden age of the genre. Vote away!

I've only seen Alien and Dawn of the Dead (although that was a long time ago). Too much of a p*ssy to watch the other ones.

A lot of game changing classics you're missing out on. I don't think someone of your generation would find them very scary though. Except maybe The Exorcist.

Idk man, I heard Texas Chainsaw still holds up. (and I'm not too good with gore either) I'm just not a fan of horror in general.

Also, I'd like to re-cant my statement. I somehow missed that Jaws is on this list. Of course I've seen Jaws. So... I've seen Jaws, Aliens, and Dawn of the Dead (a long time ago). There we go.

The thing about the original TCM...it has very little blood. The violence is more implied than graphically shown. But if you don't like horror films, I'm not going to try to get you to see it.

Oh, really? Then I might check it out. But yeah.. not a huge fan of horror. At all. Not too sure about Halloween. I'll probably watch that one, since a 70s slasher flick doesn't sound bad.

Another film with very little blood. It favors tension and suspense over shock and gore. You'd probably like it.

Nobody would vote for them, making them pointless additions.

If Suspiria wasn't here, Braden would have.

Those are good, but not necessary.  Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the best horror films ever made.
