Nice list Tatum, I like your inclusion of JDATE ^

Have you seen Let the Right One In?  I think it's superior to the remake (though they are almost shot-for-shot), you should check it out if you haven't.

Thanks! I've been meaning to see Let the Right One In, as I'm sure it's better than the remake. It's a bit further down on my watchlist though (I've been going through all the March Madness picks lately).

The Shining is first, that's all I know (unless Silence of the Lambs counts as horror, in which case that's my fav).

It actually makes the remake look pretty unnecessary and pathetic in how it tries to differentiate itself to be honest.  They changed the actors hair colours, flipped a bunch of scenes 180 degrees, replaced the practical effects with CG, reversed the ending credit colours (lol), etc...

I know you're a fan of Chloe though, so that's one thing the remake has that the original certainly doesn't.

Interesting. I could see how that'd be frustrating.

Yeah, I'm a pretty big fan of hers. I really wish she'd stop doing all that YA crap though....

4. The Blair Witch Project
5. Zombieland
6. Alien

I will eventually. The genre just doesn't appeal to me much.

Alright, for real. First watched Jaws when I was 7. Is and always will be the best horror film ever.

Mine's probably not much different a year and a half later.

1. Suspiria
2. The Thing
3. Phenomena
4. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
5. House of the Devil
6. Triangle
7. The Beyond
8. Funny Games
9. The Loved Ones
10. A Nightmare on Elm Street

..or something like that.  There might be some horror hybrids that I like more, but aren't really horror-y enough to be on a list like this.
