My sister took a semester long film studies course and her school account that lets her watch the films on the curriculum expires in four days. There are eight films I probably need to watch using her account out of convenience (which she has permitted me to do), as the others are on Netflix and/or are public domain.

Any recommendations for prioritizing the following are appreciated:
The Grapes of Wrath (1940)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (Original)
On the Waterfront
Revel Without a Cause
Guess Whos Coming to Dinner
Bonnie and Clyde
Easy Rider
MASH

Grapes of Wrath is the most tediously boring book AND film in the history of the universe.  Good luck not slitting your wrists during that massively overrated, insipid snoozefest.

If I had to rank them FOR ME as far as interest level - it would be:

Easy Rider
MASH
Rebel Without a Cause
Guess Who's Coming To Dinner
On The Waterfront
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Bonnie and Clyde

All of the above movies are pretty strong - and very different.  Your taste in the type of film you like will determine your ranking.  Easy Rider is simply one of my favorites, MASH is the best movie to TV series of all time, James Dean is classic in Rebel, and Guess Who's Coming took on an extremely taboo subject in great fashion.
I definitely want to check out Waterfront and Easy Rider the most from the list. Im a bit surprised at your apparent dislike for Grapes given that its a Steinbeck novel/adaptation (and I remember you saying you enjoyed Of Mice and Men). Thanks for the suggestions.

Not just Of Mice and Men.  I liked The Red Pony and Cannery Row quite a bit as well.  But, man, Grapes of Wrath is just so fucking long and boring...I just can't...

I start an online "journalism in film" course on Monday. It consists mainly of watching movies that relate to journalism and discussing them. First week's schedule is Broadcast News, The Insider, and Anchorman.
