I loved reading these books.  These actually came with posters.

I remember reading the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull novelization way back when... lol.

Thankfully, I bought these before Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out.

The starfish one makes me laugh.  The cow one disturbs me greatly.

The starfish one is definitely the best. Just Googled some more: they range from hilarious to terrifying (mostly the layter).

Holy crap. I remember these books from when I was a kid. I never read any of them, but the covers always creeped me out.

I have a theory that these books were responsible for the emergence of furries in our society.

Btw, the starfish one was cool. Girl gets chopped in half as a starfish and shape-shifts back to two separate people with different personalities. I can't remember how they put her back together, but I remember it being a good read.

This is actually a cool concept. Now I wish I picked that one up when I was in Australia; these books seemed to be in every library there,  but I never saw one in Russia. Though, my natural instinct with such a story is to NOT mold her back, and instead ultimately make everyone around her deal with the fact there'll always be two people in place of the one they knew. Narratively, there's just so much you can get out of this.
