Frances Ha is a solid film. Itís essentially plotless and isnít wholly free from meandering but itís paced well overall and I related to its main characterís iinternal conflicts and particularly found Greta Gerwigís performance to be wonderful. Iím somewhere between a B and a B+. Not quite sure.

I saw Leave No Trace. It left no trace in my brain.
I've seen the trailer for this for at least the last three trips to the local indie theater. It's appearing to invade mine.

What did you like and dislike about it? I've heard nearly unanimous praise for it.

Kashmir, I appreciate how hard you're trying, but let's face it. This site has collapsed.

What do you propose we do, then?

Yo, I love that movie.  One of my favourites from this decade.

Frances Ha has grown on me since I first watched it.  Great movie.

It is certainly growing on me. The use of black and white was a really good idea - it really helps it stylistically capture some of its homages to the French New Wave.

Also, Hearts Beat Loud is tight at home with the subgenre of feel good music-centered dramadies, with its solid performances and impressive musical flair overriding the more predictable and unworldly elements of the plot.

I saw Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again last night at an advanced screening.  Woke up the next morning and looked at the RT score.  Won't lie when I say if you convert the percentage to a score out of ten, it's not far from my actual grade.

Goodbye!

Yeah I was MIA for a bit with some stuff - come back and the Hot Threads are like 2 weeks old.  Man this site has really hit the skids.  Tough to deny now.  It's a shame, but I suppose it was inevitable.
