Decided to move this here.

"The Last Jedi is the first Star Wars film that doesn't feel like a Star Wars film and feels more like a two and a half expansion pack rather than a whole film...Overall, I like the film a lot..."

I don't remember his reviews having this many run-on sentences.

More gems:

"He really seemed to want to add things in the films to really respect what's come before and really push the franchise into a new direction."

"[The respective screentimes for each plotline] helps with the major plot points that are both killed and carried onto the next film. However, there's just too many of them that we need to understand in the next film."

"Overall, I like the film a lot but I think it has its problems that I will get more into the spoiler review because there's just too much in the film that I can't talk about it properly in this spoiler-free review."

Spoiler (hover to show)

"The main problem with the main storyline. Which is ultimately about making sure the residence doesn't die..."

"Even down to this plot where "Supreme Lead" treats his apprentice like shit and doesn't expect retaliation."

"There's a lot of idea and story arcs they add dont make any sense either and worsens the mythology..."

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a hystarticsl ride in which our intrepid reviewer was was sudrpingly laughing way more than he should have and any right to.

His use of "Short of" makes a return here too.

I think he's reading my Review Artist thread and deliberately trying to sabotage it by making himself unspoofable.

He just commented on my Mudbound review saying he wants to see it, but its not in his area.

Mudbound is a Netflix original. It isn't in anyone's area.

I looked it up and it's playing in one theater in Beverly Hills.

I guess that means Brendan doesn't live in Beverly Hills.

He lives in Rochester Hills which is a Detroit suburb.

"Downsizing is quite bad but entertaining for the most part."
Not that questionable, at least as far as Brendan goes. Itís very possible, and even common, for movies you find to be quite bad to also be entertaining.

Case in point, Gods of Egypt.

What about his initial statement that "It has a really unique, original, and interesting premise that doesn't have to be what it turns out to be. It turns into an end of the world scenario with a terrible premise"

Well, I was only referring to that specific line, canít speak for any other part of his review.

Fair enough. I just found it amusing that he keeps shifting between conflicting points to the point where it muddled the tone of his writeup in the same way he did in his John Wick 2 review (albeit to less severe effect due to the brevity of this piece).
