I know the JP franchise is far from high art but this looks schlocky in a way that strips it of its franchise’s personality. J.A. Bayona seems capable as a director even if A Monster Calls was disappointing so this’ll likely be on par with Jurassic World.

Looks fun. Really looking forward to it since I love Bayona’s previous work.
Everything is terrible.

I thought A Monster Calls was pretty shitty too - was hopeful that would be good, but it really wasn't.  I'm not a big JP guy.  My favorite is the 3rd.  The first is okay.  The second is total and compete ass.  Was very lukewarm on Jurassic World.  I may end up seeing this because we see so many movies, but this franchise just isn't one that has resonated with me.
