But yeah it's far-fetched enough to the point where people who watch the show won't get it.

Jaime is still a contender considering the basic requirements and the fact that he still has his role to play in killing Cersei (his love), which Jon Snow lacks (and I doubt he would go so far as to kill Dany with Lightbringer).

I dunno, if Bran is revealed to be The Night King, then everything was set into motion the moment Jaime pushed him out the tower. So it would only seem fitting that he would be there to see it all end.

So...

Spoiler (hover to show)
I've been reading up on this a lot lately, and while I have some doubts, I really hope this theory ends up being true. It would perfectly close the loose ends in Bran's storyline, and be appropriately tragic.

The evidence for the Jaime theory is very far-fetched (I mean, it basically hinges on Jaime eating ham), but I do like it. If he ends up killing Cersei, then I'll be far more optimistic for it.

Pretty good video about why Jaime is so well written as a character:

It's been a while since the Battle of the Bastards, but I still don't understand why they didn't give Wun Wun a tree branch so he could basically smack the Bolton army into oblivion.

I still don't know why Ramsey didn't just shoot Jon instead of shooting Wun Wun in the eye.

I think that was because he wanted to defeat him in 1 on 1 combat. Isn't there a rule where if you win, you go free?

If he shot him right there and then, I think the rule would be considered null and void because Jon at that point wasn't a participating combatant.

Hmm, good point. If I were him, I might've just shot Jon for pure revenge, though it's not entirely out of character for Ramsey to try and weasel his way out of it.

Also, I've been thinking about predictions for the end of the show recently, and I've devised this rating scale. If you'd like, make your own list and rank the characters accordingly. The idea is that we score each major character on a scale of 1 to 100-- 100 meaning they have an absolute certainty of surviving the entire show, and 0 being they have no chance at all. Here are my thoughts...

Arya: 99% chance of survival
Sansa: 90%
Jon: 85%
Brienne: 75%
Sam: 65%
Varys: 60%
Yara: 55%
Dany: 50%
Jorah: 49%
Davos: 45%
Bran: 40%
Tyrion: 35%
Jaime: 25%
Theon: 20%
Bronn: 15%
Littlefinger: 10%
Cersei: 1%
Melisandre: 0%

I agree with Diego on many of these, but there are definitely a few deviations (specifically Arya and Davos). Added a few as well.

Hot Pie: 100%
Sansa: 90%
Jon: 90%
Sam: 85%
Meera: 80%
Davos: 75%
Tyrion: 70%
Varys: 70%
Arya: 60%
Yara: 60%
Bran: 50%
Dany: 50%
Brienne: 45%
The Hound: 40%
Jaime: 40%
Bronn: 40%
Grey Worm: 30%
Jorah: 30%
Littlefinger: 25%
Tormund: 25%
Theon: 20%
Beric: 20%
Cersei: 10%
Euron: 10%
The Night King: 10%
Melisandre: 10%
The Mountain: 1%

Also, if Gendry returns, I'm giving him a solid 60%.

Bruh, no way does Tyrion have a better chance of survival than Arya. He's gonna be the tragic final death. I guarantee it.

Agreed on most of the additions. I was gonna add Hot Pie as 100% on mine, funnily enough. The Hound should be lower, though. And didn't Melisandre basically say she was going to die?

Arya seems more expendable. Not sure where her arc is headed beyond vengeance. Tyrion I could certainly see dying, but at the moment I can't imagine a reason beyond shock value. As for Melisandre, you're right. I debated lowering her percentage, but as she said, prophecies are a fickle thing. Who the hell knows with her.

I feel like Sansa's the only one who I really can't see dying. That's based partially on what I expect the end game of the show to be (Dany ruling Westeros, potentially with John through I'm not sure about that) and just cause I can't really see her dying.

Anyone else think that Bran has become incredibly obnoxious though? I haven't been able to stand him these last two episodes. Asshole couldn't even thank that girl who basically died for him. I know he's the three eyed raven or whatever, but that doesn't mean he has to be a complete douchenozzle to everyone.

I don't see Sansa dying either. Arya, Jon, and Bran I can see dying. At least one more Stark is going to die before the show ends.

Either Dany or her dragons die, it's either one or the other with them. If the dragons die then I can see Dany living (which is more likely than the other way around).

Cersei is definitely a dead woman walking. Jaime or Tyrion dies, I don't see both dying, one Lannister has got to live.

Davos has got to live cause he's the damn Onion Knight. Varys and Littlefinger are probably gonna die (Littlefinger is practically a guaranteed death). Tormund is dead too more than likely. Bronn is probably gonna die too.

Hot Pie is definitely gonna live. Gendry is a toss up for me but if he ends up supporting Dany then I can see him living till the end (I could have sworn I heard that Gendry is gonna be back this season).

The Hound wins Cleganebowl but dies later on (this is more of a 50% though)

And that's all I can think of at the moment if I remember anyone else I'll update.

I really hope you're wrong about this. Throughout the show, Arya has been virtually unflappable. She's a survivor. "What do we say to death? Not today" are the words she lives by. Plus she's my favorite character... oops, I just jinxed it.

Anyone else think that Bran has become incredibly obnoxious though? I haven't been able to stand him these last two episodes. Asshole couldn't even thank that girl who basically died for him. Bran is the worst part of the show; even worse than Dany. I'm hoping the show's conclusion makes his story worthwhile in retrospect, but Jesus Christ he is such a little prick. If he can see everything, why not tell Sansa that:

A) Jon is a Targaryen
B) Littlefinger is going to betray you without a second thought
C) Arya is still alive (too late for this one now)
D) Any other multitude of important things he now knows about the show's story

But no... what's the information he decides is of the utmost importance? "You looked beautiful the night you were raped." Thanks, Bran. Big help.

Sansa's another one of my favorite characters, and I really don't see her dying either. Her character arc is too good to cut short like that.

Bran, most likely... we can only hope.

Yeah, I find Bran absolutely insufferable. He's honestly second on my "characters who I want to see die" list, after only Cercei. Fortunately, Cercei's death is all but assured, so I'm really just hoping Bran bites it. As for Dany, I liked her before my brother started watching the show and became obsessed with her. Now I mostly just resent her for changing Tyrion from the best character in the show to a fairly dull advisor.

I really like both the Stark sisters, but while I think Sansa's guaranteed to live, I think Arya's more questionable; I could see her taking out someone important (The Mountain or Cercei) and then dying. If I had to bet, I'd put money on her living but I'd say it's like 70-30. Agree with Frank that either Jamie or Tyrion will die, but probably not both. I really don't think Dany's gonna die though, I still see her sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of the show.

Yeah, he said "You looked beautiful that night" or some shit. I have to say, while I typically enjoy the writing in this show, the scenes where characters are reunited are often really poorly written. I want to hear Arya and Sansa have a real conversation, dammit. None of this tiptoeing around what happened to them.

For the record, he didn't say anything about importance of any information, but he did say she looked beautiful when she was  raped.

That was a set-up episode if I've ever seen one.

But damn does the next episode have so much potential to be a series high point. So many characters we all like all together to fight the Night King's army? Hell yeah. We're definitely getting some deaths next episode.

I still retain the fact that Dany has a possibility of going mad by the series endpoint, especially after that opening with her.

I had a lot of problems with this episode, but damn, it was worth it to see Gendry come back. They've assembled a real A-Team of beloved characters up at the wall.
