State films you will be seeing in the NEAR future.

I'll start by saying, in theaters, I'll be seeing Rogue Nation and Shaun the Sheep this weekend.

On home video, I just rented a few DVDs from my local library:

Hannibal(Re-watch)
Grave of the Fireflies
Dracula(1931)(Re-watch)
The Bride of Frankenstein(Re-watch)
Eraserhead
Memories of a Murder

I've been meaning to watch Bride of Frankenstein for quite a while.

Eraserhead's great, of course.

Grave of the Fireflies
That movie really got to me both times I watched it. Curious to see what you think of it.

Some Like it Hot is gonna be tonight's watch.

I've also put off The 400 Blows (and Truffaut in general) for too long.

Other things I'd like to see are Nights of Cabiria, Short Cuts, and Wild at Heart.

Since I just introduced Silence of the Lambs to a friend the other night, I think I'll watch Hannibal tonight. Maybe if I'm up for it, follow up with Dracula.

How have I still not seen Wild at Heart. I really must fix that.

I've only seen one Truffaut- Small Change. It's a really nice movie. It's a single story but it's almost like a series of interlinked tales.

Wasn't a fan of Hannibal. Could stem from the fact that I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs, but it just didn't click with me.

Silence of the Lambs is a lot better. I didn't like Hannibal, although it has it's moments.

You need to fix that right away! And I remember thinking Hannibal wasn't great either. But Silence of the Lambs is one of my all time favorite films.

Red Dragon is pretty good. Better than Hannibal from what I remember. Haven't seen Manhunter.

I had it on the DVR before it got wiped, but I never watched it. I'm really bad about recording things and never watching them.

Don't worry. I haven't seen Wild at Heart or Fire Walk With Me.

The only Truffaut I've seen is The Wild Child, though I didn't know who Truffaut was at the time of watching it. I remember it being really good, though. I've been meaning to get into his filmography for a while but all these other pesky directors seem to get in the way.

Loved Fire Walk With Me. I saw it before the series though so I wasn't so bothered about great characters like Audrey Horne being missing as others might have been.

I think Wild Child was actually on our English syllabus at school but I haven't seen it. 400 Blows is another one(of so so many) I've yet to get around to.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you there. While she is an excellent character, I'd have to say that Dale Cooper is the best one in the show.

Actually, Cooper is barely in the movie either. :/ You do see a lot more of Laura Palmer though!

Cooper is #2.  Audrey had the best arc because she went from someone I disliked to someone I loved.  Cooper is good and I've used his penguin joke thousands of times now, but Audrey is da bomb!
