Unfortunately, we can't go now as my mom started to feel sick.  We'll probably end up seeing it tomorrow.
Goodbye!

Who here has seen A Quiet Passion (the Emily Dickinson biopic)? It's playing at the local indie theater and I'm curious as to how accessible it is to someone who's generally unfamiliar with Dickinson's work.

A Quiet Passion is fantastic, and it's Terence Davies' most accessible film from what I've heard.

Were you actively familiar with much of Emily Dickinson's life going into the film?

Because I could not stop for Jed—
He kindly stopped for me —
He jumped into his Leather Bed —
And logged into RT.

He looked at posts — He knew no haste
For he was on his way
To make a fateful rendezvous,
To Post About that day —

He passed the School, where Children strove
To pass Financial Math —
He came to Dunkin Donuts, and —
He entered with a laugh —

Or rather — we should say he instead—
He came IN Dunkin Donuts —
For in that Filthy Bathroom he—
Did discharge from his nuts —

While I don't care for poetry much generally, I actually do like Because I Could Not Stop for Death, but given that your version made me laugh I'd say that it brought a bit more to my life.

I can only fit time in for one movie today and am torn between either War for the Planet of the Apes and The Big Sick. I won't be able to see anything else for the next week as I'll be busy.
