Movie critics/reviewers you regularly read/listen to

In the age of RT I think it’s become easier to access critics’ reviews, though it’s also made the process a bit more impersonal as people flock to the Tomatometer/Metascore without reading in depth reviews. I wonder how that’s affected some of us.

I don’t admittedly read a ton of modern online critical reviews but I have subscribed to Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo’s YouTube channel. Of course, I also love RedLetterMedia and frequent YMS and Ralph the Movie Maker.

  • And the path was a circle, round and round
Honestly I've really stopped reading reviews before I see things since I love going into movies knowing nothing about them.

It depends on the film for me. I’m fine reading reviews for films I have no intention of seeing, though I try to minimize the amount of reading/ watching I do for films I want to see until after I watch them (though I am guilty of skimming some reviews from time to time).
