Today, going to see Isle of Dogs plus one or two of these...

Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero
Beirut
Rampage
Truth or Dare
I feel like Beirut would be the most assured watch. The Sgt. Stubby film has a fascinating real life story behind it that Iím unsure a kidís film could do justice to. How much you like Truth or Dare would depend on if you liked similarly schlocky horror films like Wish Upon (I havenít seen either but Iíve seen them get compared), and Rampageís schlock factor is a bit of a gamble.

We'll probably see Beirut next week.  I think Traffik is the only new release that looks even remotely interesting.  I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the concept of Rampage - but I'm not vehemently opposed to seeing it like I would be to say Overboard 2018.

My friends want to see A Quiet Place in an hour so Iíll be joining them for that. Since some of us are skipping prom weíll be seeing Isle of Dogs tomorrow.

Edit: The former may not be happening yet.

We are going to see Beirut, Isle of Dogs (2nd viewing), and Rampage on Sunday.  Should make for an interesting triple feature...

Confirmed today - Rampage to Beirut to Isle of Dogs rewatch.  At least I know 1 of these I'll love.  Hopeful for Beirut.  I just hope Flounder is more accurate about Rampage than Moody - but I don't have a lot of hope in that one.

Never mind - postponing until Tuesday...

I will be watching and reviewing Den of Thieves this week unless someone has a recommendation.

I would recommend not seeing Den of Thieves tbh.  I'd suggest Isle of Dogs, A Quiet Place, or Ready Player One instead.

I would much rather see any of those three, but I can't go to the theater. I should have specified that in my previous post.

Sounds like a plan! I will hopefully have the review done by Friday.

It's my 2nd favorite movie from last year.  I figured if you were looking at seeing a heist film, you might as well see a really good one.  Enjoy brutha!

Iím torn as to whether I should rewatch Isle of Dogs before it leaves theaters (since Iím assuming thisíll be the last week itís out near me) or if I should watch You Were Never Really Here since that just arrived to the same theater.

I still have two AP exams coming up and finals will follow suit. My primary obligation for the next two weeks is academics. YWNRH might stick around for a couple weeks though so I could still see it next week.

My sister took a semester long film studies course and her school account that lets her watch the films on the curriculum expires in four days. There are eight films I probably need to watch using her account out of convenience (which she has permitted me to do), as the others are on Netflix and/or are public domain.

Any recommendations for prioritizing the following are appreciated:
The Grapes of Wrath (1940)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (Original)
On the Waterfront
Revel Without a Cause
Guess Whoís Coming to Dinner
Bonnie and Clyde
Easy Rider
MASH

Grapes of Wrath is the most tediously boring book AND film in the history of the universe.  Good luck not slitting your wrists during that massively overrated, insipid snoozefest.

If I had to rank them FOR ME as far as interest level - it would be:

Easy Rider
MASH
Rebel Without a Cause
Guess Who's Coming To Dinner
On The Waterfront
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Bonnie and Clyde

All of the above movies are pretty strong - and very different.  Your taste in the type of film you like will determine your ranking.  Easy Rider is simply one of my favorites, MASH is the best movie to TV series of all time, James Dean is classic in Rebel, and Guess Who's Coming took on an extremely taboo subject in great fashion.
