So it happens that I was watching Scarface on Netflix in my phone. So I pause it, go eat breakfast and return to found that my family's account has been suspended due to an error on payment. Damn it!
That's brutal, sorry dude. That movie's awesome.
Yeah, my dad it's working to get the thing fixed. From what I had seen, Al Pacino was fantastic as always and was rather surprised that he could pull such a great Hispanic accent.
Pacino's incredible in that movie. It's definitely long but it's all worth it- great climax.

I was rewatching A Sound of Thunder in a DVD player, to see if it improved upon my first, young viewing (which was awful), and it did actually got me a couple of unintentional laughs, some so bad-its good material, but midway through the thing it buffered so bad it stopped working altogether. Tried other DVD players and my computer, none of them worked.  :'(

Because my siblings are lazy and didn't want to go to a late showing, I did not see Fantastic Beasts today. Instead, my family decided to rent Allegiant and the Ghostbusters reboot (Meanwhile, the movies I wanted to check out were all taken).

Allegiant is all kinds of terrible.  The Ghostbusters reboot is probably more of a 6.5/10 rather than a 7 after I let it sit with me (and ended up rewatching it since my sister wanted to see it), but it's still not that bad IMO.
Goodbye!

I'll live, as several users saw both and still post. That said, I have low expectations for both.

I rented Justin Kurzel's Macbeth from the library since I finished the play a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, the DVD was scratched and the film began freezing up at the 20 minute mark, to the point where it would skip over 30 second segments at a time. Gave up after several attempts to try and get the DVD to stop skipping. Not very happy about that.

Fortunately, I also rented Two Days, One Night, which has a generally pristine DVD. Will watch that tomorrow.

Probably going to have to delay watching Deepwater Horizon for at least a week. I have too much homework.

My friends and I were trying to wait for some rain to subside so we were browsing for movies on my friend's Amazon services. His family had their Fire TV stick tinkered with so they could pirate films, and my friends briefly tried to watch Baywatch. We bailed as soon as we noticed the cut's poor quality.

Then they decided to head to Netflix. They chose Sausage Party, which we watched the first twenty minutes of before the rain stopped and we went outside. It's something you really have to see for yourself to truly let its complete absence of humor and subtlety sink in.

Watched 25 minutes of War for the Planet of the Apes...before the screen freezes and stops playing the movie.  Going back on Friday, but goddamn I'm so pissed off.

So it turns out that my local indie theater will not be showing Good Time - according to their website it was pulled from their slate without ever coming here. While that isn't an abnormal occurrence what makes this unfortunate is that in its place is Tulip Fever (not to mention that one Marc Webb movie that no one cares about).

Also, Ingrid Goes West apparently did so badly at the local mainstream theater that it lost all its showtimes to releases from months ago (and it only got there last week, mind you). Seriously, it brought back Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, War for the Planet of the Apes, Despicable Me 3, The Big Sick, Cars 3, and Kidnap, the latter two of which have more showtimes than Baby Driver and Girls Trip. What a pathetic summer season.

A lot of studios are expanding their older films from earlier this summer since nothing of interest is out right now.

Canceling my plans to see The Death of Stalin today to hang out with my British friend, as he decided to come over to America for holiday and thisíll likely be the only chance weíll get to hang out for the first time in a nearly a year.

Probably wonít be able to catch it tomorrow either, so Iíll probably have to wait till it reaches DVD.
