Wonít You Be My Neighbor is a solid documentary that evokes the same types of emotions Fred Rogers sought to convey in his work while also avoiding overt hagiography (though itís a bit hard since according to the documentary he just happened to be the way he was). Itís also reasonably short and well paced so its loose structure never becomes a problem.

I'm convinced it's never coming here, and I'm pretty mad about it.  They advertised it through trailers for 6 full months at my theater, then they don't release it.  I grew up on Mr. Rogers when I was young, and I was really excited to see the behind-the-scenes stuff that I didn't know/care about when I was very young.
I think theyíre still in the process of rolling out its theatrical expansion, so itíll probably be released wider leading into and during the 4th of July.

There is some behind the scenes stuff and archival footage but it is a bit more focused on Rogersí career and the show in general, but it utilizes the nostalgiac mood it creates in a way most franchise films of this decade can never really accomplish.

I got into Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom for free last night, and I still wanted my money back. Holy shit, I haven't been that enraged by a movie in years.
Would you liken it to Man of Steel, Rogue One, or TASM2?

That's a different level of suck. This was more like Terminator Genysis.
I'd say Terminator Genysis is worse than any of those 3.

All four of these films are actually Tutties Worst Picture "winners," so it's a fine line regardless.

However, this one has an important difference: it's almost certainly going to be the most profitable one out of all those. It probably won't exceed the first, but these numbers are still scary. In the meantime, Tag is fighting to turn a profit.

John gave it the same score I did.

I figured that Diego (and perhaps others on here) may not be able to see it due to being blocked by Flounder, so here:

Unapologetically ridiculous yet surprisingly thoughtful, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is not just a worthy and even better follow-up to its marvelously entertaining predecessor but also the best installment in the Jurassic Park series since Steven Spielbergís groundbreaking 1993 classic, as well as a terrific big-budget blockbuster debut from director J.A. Bayona, with breathtaking visual effects, sublime cinematography and set designs, stunningly crafted action set pieces, interesting and mostly well-executed concepts, fun characters, great performances, rich and tense Gothic atmosphere, and a shockingly strong emotional core.

^THIS.  It was fucking AWFUL.  1.5/10 movie.  I got in free as well because we paid for and watched Superfly before jumping into this catastrophe.  Luckily, we hopped into American Animals afterwards which redeemed the day for us in some respects.

Yeah, breathtakingly putrid.

I thought the VFX looked fine in it.  Didnít notice anything offputting.  Jurassic Park 3 on the other hand has some noticeably bad scenes in it VFX-wise.

Pretty much, yeah.  It was bad on all fronts.  Chris Pratt didn't even seem interested to put forth a good effort because he knew it was so bad.

Sicario 2 was bad.  John will probably give it a 9/10.

The marketing didnít really capture the atmosphere of the original from what I remember. What would you consider its biggest strengths/weaknesses?

Hereditary is a sublime horror film. Lots of great moments. The ending is just all out insanity that ends up evoking almost the exact same dread that The Witch conjured up. Excellent film. Little bit The House of the Devil and a little bit The Witch. But all in all quality.

Aliís Wedding is a thoroughly cliched romantic dramedy but itís reasonably watchable and well acted. Itís like an Australian response to The Big Sick though somewhat less impactful emotionally.

Planning to rewatch the original sometime. Might not help the sequel in any measure if what Iíve heard about the palpable absence of Deakins and Villenueve is of note. I do keep hearing that the ending is weak.

You know you could have just erased the "Jurassic World" instead of redacting it, right?

After watching the new Mr. Rogers documentary, I wondered what would happen if I applied his methods to the worst site on the internet. The response was as predictable as it was depressing.

The Mr. Rogers documentary is very close to being my favorite of the year.  I'd give Annihilation a slight edge though.  I loved it.
