Watched A Few Good Men tonight. I really need to just see everything Sorkin's ever written, the guy's amazing (helps that Cruise and Nicholson are awesome too).

You ever see The West Wing?
Nah, I'd like to but that show's 7 seasons of 20+ episodes each.

It's not exactly my favorite show, but I think you might like it. It's all about government's power to do good, and it's very optimistic.
I definitely think I'd enjoy it. It's just that it takes me such a long time to watch a lengthy show like that- hell, I started The Sopranos a month ago and I doubt I'll be finished before Thanksgiving and that's only 13 episodes a season. It's just tough for me to commit to that much time when there are so many shows I want to watch.

Btw, I mentioned to my mom that you haven't seen The West Wing. She recommends you watch the following episodes just to see if you're interested in it.

Mr. Willis of Ohio (S1E6)
The Short List (S1E9)
The Midterms (S2E3)
And It’s Surely to Their Credit (S2E5)
Gone Quiet (S3E6)
The US Poet Laureate (S3E16)
Game On (S4E6)
The Supremes (S5E17)

I don't really remember the episodes of this show that well, but I recall The Supremes being good, and unusually bipartisan.

Thanks for the recommendations; I usually don't watch shows out of order but maybe I'll just watch a couple of these to get a taste of The West Wing without having to watch all 154 episodes.

The Hitman's Bodyguard was Shane Black-light stuff. I guess it wasn't awful but I really didn't feel a spark between Jackson and Reynolds. I only laughed a couple times at their banter which wasn't particularly clever. Gary Oldman was worthless as a villain that's in it for maybe 15 minutes. One of the RT critics said that the film look low res (as if someone downloaded it from YouTube). I agree. Visually this thing's not easy on the eyes. Lots of distracting lighting decisions too. The actors were drowned out by the lighting in certain scenes. Very odd.

Yeah, its late but Rashomon was pretty great. Loved the use of the unreliable narrator,  the construction and deconstruction of morals, along with the camera shots that emphazise our role as "judges". 8.5/10

Also happen to catch Storks in the TV and I was shockingly surprised at how decent it was. 6/10
