Loving Vincent: 8/10

I was going to see this in theaters, but the animation style looked really choppy and I thought it might get old fast. Is the movie easier on the eyes than the trailers were?

I personally thought the animation was beautiful. I found it to be a feast for the eyes.
Everything is terrible.

But to answer your question: If you didn't care for the style in the trailer, then I doubt you'll care for it in the movie.

I agree with John that the visuals are a lot more fluid onscreen. However, the film was kind of boring in my opinion (I almost dozed off a couple times during the first thirty minutes), and the story is less interesting than it would have been if it was from Van Gogh's point of view. I'd say check it out on DVD.

Lol...you think that hand-painting every single frame in the style of Van Gogh's paintings looks "choppy"?

Of course it does. Just watch the trailer. The transitions between frames are not smooth.

While on the bus to BOCES, I watched a western short film called The Good Time Girls, starring Laura Dern... and it's really good.

The director is the same woman who did the costume designs for The Hateful Eight and Baby Driver. I heard they're planning on turning this into a full-length feature, and if so, I'm looking forward to seeing that.

I didn't notice that mobile slip until now. I've resigned to the fact that my texting abilities are horrifically sloppy.

Vince Vaughn scraping a guy's face off.  Obvious choice, but good choice.

His last kill was my favorite part. That combined with the line he had before it, made it the most badass scene I've seen in a long time. Vaughn delivered far and away my favorite performance of the year so far.
