Started Star Trek TOS with The Man Trap.

This is actually incredibly engaging so far. The outdatedness doesn't take away from anything. Very impressive.

One of my favorite episodes of the series right there.

Just finished it. The climax was obviously very hokey and there's some unintentional humor because of the budgetary restrictions, but the strength of the story shone through.

That's pretty much the way it is with all TOS episodes. There's always a few moments that'll make you laugh unintentionally (the intern in the Horta costume always makes me chuckle a bit), but at this point that only adds to the charm. Meanwhile, it tackles some really deep and interesting subjects... well, most of the time, at least.

Is anyone else watching the Ken Burns documentary on the Vietnam War this week? The first two parts were good, although I'm hoping part three gets more into what happened on the Viet Cong side.

Watching Ep. 3 of ST: TOS. Charlie X.

So far, itís pretty good. Once again, despite the budgetary restrictions and technical shortcomings, the story pulled me in.

Also, Iím reminded a lot of Dommy by Charlieís character...

My parents are huge Star Trek fans, so I watched this when I was about five years old. It freaked me out so much.

Watching E4. Why... um... what the **** is up with Spock's eyebrows? And why does he sound like he's doing a very very, slight, subtle Asian accent?

Also watched the third episode of Star Trek: Discovery and the pilot for The Orville.

Discovery's still going strong and The Orville... truth be told, I actually didn't think it was that bad. The humor falls a little flat, but everything else made up for it. I liked how it managed to capture the feel of classic Star Trek.

Watched the entirety of American Vandal on Thursday, best thing I've seen in a while. It starts off primarily as a comedy, but really functions well as a crime mystery with some strong messages and social commentary as it progresses.

Oh man, it's such a good show. Got some of the best plotting of anything I've ever seen. Glad to hear that you've been enjoying it, and that you're on Jesse's side.

Jesse is pretty much the only person with the right motives for taking down Walt.  Hank is doing it as some sort of petty revenge using the guise that Walt is a monster whereas Jesse realizes Walt is a monster.  Hank is angry he was too blind to see who Heisenberg really was, but Jesse witnessed firsthand all the manipulating and horrible acts Walt has committed.

I'm also not 100% on Jesse's side, though.  He enabled Walt multiple times throughout the series and is the reason for a majority of the deaths because of that.  I was rooting for Mike the entire time, but considering Jesse is doing what he's doing for Mike, Brock, Gale, and that kid, I'm on his side by default.  Basically, everyone in the series deserves to die and that is the most fitting end.

Also, idk why people hate Walt Jr.  He's pretty much the only character in the show who is actually not a horrible person.

It's crazy though... Ask me this in Season 4 and I'd say pretty much the opposite.  Walt is awesome and Jesse is acting like an idiot.

Finished Breaking Bad... and that was pretty depressing.  I liked how Badger and Skinny Pete were brought back and the entire episode felt somber.  Walt watching his son exit the bus, knowing he will never see him again.  The depressing moment when Walt seeing Jesse essentially turned into a slave and their last look at each other knowing that it's finally over.  I got flashbacks to when they first met and was a little sad.  Shows really haven't done this to me before.  It's strange.  I had despised Walt for a majority of the season, but seeing him dying alone in the mountains was depressing and made me feel bad.  I hated the egotistical Walter but seeing him stripped of that really made me sad.

Great show.  Sucks that it's finished and I still prefer the ending to Season 4 (which was the best season of the show.  Gustavo was such a fun villain).  I felt like that would've concluded the show on a morally ambiguous, but much happier note tbh.

How amazing is his last scene with Skylar though? "I did it for me" gives me chills.
