For me, there are two types of underrated films. The first category is for movies that many people have seen, but weren't particularly acclaimed. Watchmen is an example of this, for me. The second category is for films that people just haven't seen, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead being a personal example.

I think Before The Devil Knows Your Dead has been seen quite a bit.  I do like the film, but given all the talented underground filmmaking going on these days I think there are probably better examples.
