Why stream?
« on: June 15, 2017, 01:11:47 pm »
Streaming movies legally comes in three forms.

Subscription - Netflix, Amazon Prime, Mubi etc.

Rental - Google Play, Amazon and various local options on a country by country basis - usually once you've paid for the film you have about 28 days to watch it but once you've started, you'll normally have to finish it it within 48 hours.  It's often as cheap to buy the film!

Purchase - As a viable alternative to buying a DVD or BluRay, you can purchase the film on line then watch it wherever you want. Always worth paying a little extra for the HD version the quality of which is often as good as BluRay.  Google Play and Amazon are usually the best sources and neither company prevents you from streaming them when you're abroad.  However be warned, companies occasionally withdraw a film from circulation after you've purchased.  This has happened to me just once and I have now have a large mobile library which has replaced my DVD and BluRay collection

Netflix and Amazon Prime only have trash movies.  But I hate people in the movie theater, so I just sleep instead.
goodbye!

Can't agree on that!  I can only speak for Netflix in the UK and France and Amazon in the UK, but I think the choice is amazing these days and caters for all tastes - but yes, if you want fall asleep to some crap, there's plant there as well!
