Call Me By Your Gay: 6/10
The Darkest Hour: 1/10
Get Out: 5/10
Lady Bird: 4/10
Three Billboards: 8/10

Smh, not a real Greta Gerwig fan after all. Real Gerwig fans love this movie. The Lady Bird Cinematic Universe doesn't need you, Bread.

Okay, I wanna hear this explanation. I can understand thinking it was unexceptional, but it's a hard film to hate.

Unsurprisingly, Bread is the most negative user thus far, while John is the most positive. Also, the fuck is up with you guys? How are John and I the only people who have seen all these movies?

I'm somewhat confused as to what in Darkest Hour is so bad that it deserves a 1/10.
Goodbye!

I'm probably gonna be seeing Call Me by Your Name this weekend.

I don't support no fish on fish sex.
Phantom Bread, amirite?  Nah, ghosts are spooky.
3 Billboards is about hicks. And it's from the director of In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths, so it's a no.
Darkest Hour.  I'd rather watch the other film about russians fighting invisible aliens w/ laser guns.
Any film that has a character that names his or herself Lady Bird is a no.  Not to mention, I do not like indie middle class white people films.
The Post?  C'mon... do I really have to go in depth?
Call Me By Your Gay sounds pretty gay, fam.
goodbye!

I think he meant the shitty horror film with the balls of light.

Last year I thought you saw all the Oscar noms before they were even announced. Could be wrong, though.

Honestly, I wasn't interested at all in The Post.  The Shape of Water is FINALLY making it to my theater for the first time this week - so I'm seeing it on Sunday.  CMBYN and Phantom Thread haven't really piqued my interest either.

Unexceptional is an apt description for how I felt leaving the theater after watching Lady Bird.  Had high hopes but thought it was just decent.

Yeah, that makes sense. It's a pretty standard coming-of-age movie. Between the setting, the subject matter, and the lead actress, it won me over pretty easily, but I can see why you wouldn't completely fall in love with it. That said, I'm not sure why Bread, as a fan of the director, would find it so bad.

To your other comment, feel free to skip The Post. Phantom Thread is the best nominee you haven't seen, in my opinion. However, we seem to always disagree on these things, so maybe see The Post instead. Who knows, you might love it.

Might catch CMBYN this weekend and The Post is a bit lower priority as it's playing in two theaters near me.
