Discuss console/PC/handheld gaming here.

I'll kick it off with a complaint about a used game I just got from GameStop:

Just bought Red Dead Redemption. It was $7.99, which is a bargain for the game. But I lost my previous save data when my first ps3 died, so I am forced to start fresh, which sucks. I start a new file, and within the game's opening minutes of gameplay, the audio goes out and it freezes. I'm gonna try playing again later, and see if it'll work. If not, looks like I'll have to return to GameStop to make an exchange, which is a major pain in the arse.

Anyway, gaming general. Post away, Merrill.

I started playing The Evil Within and the game makes me want to kill myself. The story makes no sense and it's absurdly difficult.

I heard that was a letdown from fans. But I still wanna check it out. I love survival horror.

Still trying to finish the Metroid Prime trilogy.  Completed the first one, now in the middle of the second.

I tried playing Prime on the Gamecube years ago. How are you playing them? Are they on the Nintendo e-shop?

Well...that was interesting.

Just tried RDR again. Got a bit farther this time, before things went to hell. No freezes or audio drop-outs this time, but...I suddenly began teleporting across the plains on my horse, and somehow managed to teleport under a moving train.

Yeah...I'm returning this.

I'm on the ice land (before the dungeon) of Majora's Mask 3D. I have gotten the Goron Mask and the Goron Lullaby, but I cannot figure out how to move the giant ghost Goron.

I bought the Trilogy disk for the Wii.  You know, this little thing:

The games handle surprisingly well with the motion controls.  Then again, I was never particularly fond of the Gamecube controller.

However, I do believe it's on the Wii U's e-shop now too, and for a much cheaper price than what I got the disk for.

I do too but this one is just brutal. I did hear that Alien: isolation was very good so I might have to pick up a copy of it and give it a try.

The 3DS remakes are pretty awesome. I have Alpha Sapphire. Game is basically the same, untainted. Just with some cool new features and updated graphics. Oh, and a lot more Pokemon.

Started playing Fallout 3 for the first time in several years. I created my character to be the image of the Doof from Fury Road.

Doing the same, but with Borderlands 2 and I'm basing mine's off of Max.

Played GTA V for the first time today. Very fun game. I'm thinking about picking up the GOTY edition of either GTA IV or Red Dead Redemption alongside GTA V.

Red Dead Redemption is the better game.

I definitely prefer it to GTA IV too. It'll probably come down to the better deal, unless RDR is only a few bucks more than GTA IV.
